Are there any online sports betting websites that do credit card withdrawal?

Sports Betting Tips

?

Hi I like to bet sports and I’m looking for a sportsbook online that does cc withdrawals. That means if you win money on a game they will put the money onto your credit card instead of having to wait for a check in the mail or having to deal with Wire Transfer, Neteller etc.

Are you sure you want to delete this answer?

Sorry, something has gone wrong.

Best Answer:
The majority of sportsbook will not allow for credit card withdrawals for North American players. This is due to rules established by the credit card companies themselves, not UIGEA or any other law enforcement act. You asked this question from Canada. I would suggest using Moneybookers or Instadebit. Best of luck!

It’s not a matter of which online betting websites will do a credit card withdrawal (they all do) but whether the US financial institution that your card is with has modified their system to comply with the 2006 UIGEA which prohibits them from interacting with online gambling companies. Not all the American banks have updated their systems yet but eventually non of the US cards will work in either depositing or withdrawal. The banks are also updating their software so that e-checks and wire transfers will also block online gambling companies but that’s happening slower than the credit cards. Eventually you won’t even be able to Western Union the funds.

Note that the UIGEA was signed into law without approval from Congress having been slipped into the 2006 anti-terrorist SAFE port bill after Congress had voted so if you do want to deposit and withdraw to and from online gambling sites, you should write your Congressman. However it’s best not to mention any actual wagering since that’s prohibited by the 1961 Wire Act.

If you have a credit card from a foreign bank, you won’t have any problems.

Most of the online websites require that should you deposit via a credit card, the withdrawals must first be credited to the cards that you deposited with in compliance with international anti-money laundering laws.

I think it depends on your credit card. I believe most of the credit cards do not allow for deposits to be made to them (some master cards may allow it – or use to anyway). So it is not so much the sportsbooks that won’t do it but it is that the credit cards company’s won’t let them. You should check out Instadebit (e-wallet for Canadians). It makes depsositing and withdrawin real easy.
